CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
With the changing landscape of medical education, faculty members in medical schools currently face numerous challenges related to teaching and learning, curriculum development, assessment research, quality assurance, competition within healthcare institutions, and limited research resources. Given these challenges, a structured faculty development program
“MedPro: Medical Education Professional Development Program” has been developed by the department OF Medical Education.
This program aims to enhance the capabilities of our educators by providing targeted training and resources, fostering continuous professional growth, and ultimately elevating the quality of medical education activities within ANM&DC. The trainings under MedPro are conducted in the form of a series of workshops conducted throughout the year, 6 months Certificate in Medical Education Program, MedEd talks on latest trends in medical education and an Annual International Medical Education Meeting- AIM
WORKHSOPS
The yearly workshop calendar is developed after conducting a needs analysis from the faculty. In addition to the need analysis, the workshops are finalized based on the institutional requirements. In view of the need analysis and institutional requirement, the yearly calendar is shared with the faculty. The workshops are conducted in the following areas teaching & learning, curriculum, assessment, research, soft skills and program evaluation.
CERTIFICATE IN HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION PROGRAM:
The CHPE course aims to introduce basic and applied concepts of medical education to HPE teachers, enhancing their skills to effectively perform the fundamental functions of a medical teacher in a Health Professions Education (HPE) institute.
MedEd Talks:
MedEd talks where medical educators, practitioners, and learners will come together to explore the latest trends and challenges in medical education. A platform where ideas flourish and innovation thrives in the pursuit of excellence in medical pedagogy.
AIM- Annual International Medical Education Meeting:
AIM organized by the Department of Medical Education- Azra Naheed Medical &Dental College is Annual International Medical Education Meeting. The purpose of these meetings is to provide a platform for health professional educators, researchers, and practitioners to come together and discuss the latest advances, innovations, challenges, and opportunities in medical education.
